Laura with a report on our final days coaching here in Uganda
Wow! What a sight it was to see a total of SEVEN cricket games being played simultaneously this morning at the ‘Lira Oval’. Five primary schools were joined by an assorted ‘ringers xi’ in a tournament and Langot College played a separate game to put into practice the skills they had learned the day before. There was some astonishing cricket and a great spirit between team players, schools and teachers alike. All the schools left with a bag of cricket kit and singing their new ABC song and we cannot wait to see how much they improve when CWB next return to the region.
It has definitely been a day of two halves though, with a long journey back to Entebbe taking us straight through central Kampala and into some traffic jams that London would be proud of. Some weary bodies on board the bus tonight but nothing a hot meal, a cold drink and a flick through some photos of the day won’t fix!
It was very difficult to follow Patrick’s blog yesterday so let me just finish by saying we were all incredibly touched by his words and all of us want to jump straight back in to another project. What an unbelievable trip for all of us!
