5 get stuck in on Day 3!

After a good nights sleep, it was a 7.30 leave for our first school and the start of what was to be a hectic but great day! Another rollercoaster car journey from our driver Eric took us to Lycee Bilingue Nkoleton, our first school. We coached around 60 children here across 3 different stations and by the time we left they had all played this fun new game called cricket and were chanting their HIV ABCโ€™s! We then had a quick meeting with the Brian Olley, the High Commissioner to Cameroon.

We went onto our second school of the day, Lycee Billingue Essos. Here, just over 100 children greeted us and we had a great hour teaching them lots of different skills and playing games! Several high 5โ€™s, chants and photos later, we were back on Ericโ€™s Wonderbus to go to our 3rd and final school of the day, Lycee Billingue Nkolmbong. Our time here was the highlight of the day. The teachers were amazing with their willingness to learn and teach this new game, and their enthusiasm at bringing cricket to their school and the children were also so receptive and a joy to work with, whilst showing some excellent cricket talent as well! Many more photos and handshakes later, we left the school and got taken for a quick and much needed beer from Victor! Next it was back to the hotel for a shower, before heading out for our luxurious evening meal at the one and only Chicken City, Yaounde (a local KFC). A great day was brought to an end with another beer back at the hotel. Well done team!
