A short but sweet blog entry due to a lazy day!
As the first week came to a close the team were looking forward to spending the day relaxing. However, this didn’t quite pan out as some members of the team, who shall remain nameless, received a minor telling off from a security guard with a gun as he wasn’t impressed with the nocturnal whistling that was being practised. Much to their disappointment he didn’t have any wine with him.
After a lie in and a larger breakfast for most members of the team barring Simon everyone made their plans for the remainder of the day. For the younger members of the team this consisted of lazing around the pool and a little too much sun worshiping! Lesley, Colin and Mark headed off into town on the back of Boda Bodas. In town they found a dress shop where Lesley purchased a custom made traditional dress and returned looking fabulous in a matching head dress. Colin’s new found treasure was a 30 pence hand crafted wooden arrow.
Despite several reminders of the teams lunch order everyone was served a sandwich after a two hour delay! Fully refuelled Lizzie, Lois and Olly decided they would also have a trip into town. Unfortunately the Boda Boda trips to and from town were the highlight of their adventure after what can only be described as interesting following comments from the locals. It appeared they didn’t approve of Lizzie’s short shorts which “would be totally appropriate at home”.
After a hard day relaxing in the sun the team headed for a nice meal and a few drinks before a rare early night in preparation for a long day ahead.
