My Highlights Of Rwanda 20141. Coach Education in Huye. The teachers here were incredibly enthusiastic and I’m convinced that they will continue to deliver good quality, engaging cricket sessions. CWB and the RCA need to ensure they have the equipment necessary to achieve this.2. The Ambassadors. Audi, Eric and Mary are simply incredible. Each of them brings different qualities but cricket would simply not be anywhere near the level it is without them. In addition they are intelligent, insightful and have a wonderful rapport with the children. I firmly believe that ambassadors are the future for CWB.3. Jules. I met a street kid called Jules at the festival in Kigali. He was maybe only 6 or 7, looked far smaller and we didn’t share the same language but we got each other. Jules didn’t leave my side all day and saying goodbye was hugely emotional. He now has pride of place as my laptop background for when work gets tough.4. The Volunteers. What CWB achieves would not be possible without the volunteers and this group was exception. To have the luxury of being able to split the group into 3 coaching teams maximised our impact. Additionally the group was full of characters which made the trip even more memorable.
