Wow!! If you googled “tired” an image of Team Kenya would come up after our performance at breakfast.
But on we went to the first school only to find that the kids were all in an assembly. A game of spin the bat came out whilst we waited and a lot of roly poly’s ensued. Once drips and drabs of kids arrived we cracked on as normal.
Nico scaled the wall to find the ball he lost before we got stuck in to a cricket match with some boys that clearly needed to be taught a lesson. CWB flying past the school total chasing 79 in 4.3 overs to win by 10 wickets. Great work by the “Men In Black” duo Nico and Dylan. The undefeated tour continues.
School 2 was a magical place and with a view many would be jealous of. A first for occured for me at the school, we had to do a bit of mountain climbing to get to and from the field, which I loved.
Mumsy Maz then got her flirt on with the Head Teacher much to the delight of the rest of the gang. Poor Anil, who has managed to supply all schools with stationery this trip, had to play second fiddle to the power of Maz at the meet and greet. However, it is still amazing to see the generosity of Anil and his family. Power to Anil.
Back to hippo point for dinner and a sunset photoshoot rightly ensued.
One more coaching day to go in Nico’s home county and a chance to meet his family which we are thoroughly looking forward to.
