Day 3

Day 3
Today’s Blog written by Colette
With a slightly fresher head after some decent sleep, we were all ready to have our first experience in Kenyan schools 2014. We all meet for a nice 9am start to grab some lunch and off to the first school, Makini for 10am. However the 10 min journey to the school was slightly longer than expected, known as African time. Pulling up at 10:30 and a very bumpy ride we were there, with an amazing back drop, with Carl starting off the show we were ready to play ball. All paired up and we were off. After session one and Olly known as Jesus and Colette having her hair pulled out it was a definitely an experience with loads of smiley faces. It was an amazing experience.

The second school of the day was Highway junior school. We arrived to 150 kids all ready to play, with Nicholas and Dan making a lot of noise at the batting drills and Alison and Jon singing the CWB song and ABC it was all go. It was all going smoothly until some goats interrupted proceedings for Colette and Vards bowling drills it was definitely something different.

Finally we finished off the day Kisumu boys secondary, where we played some games of Kwik Cricket with 80 boys and had a big audience as well that all got involved as well.
