Day 1 and the journey has to start somewhere, but for one of us, it almost didn’t start. With a hotel in victoria booked and the gatwick express paid all the individual had to do was  meet up at the agreed time of 8.30am. There was however a small problem, the flight to entebbe was actually from Heathrow!Now despite seeing terminal 5 and heathrow on several emails, my printed boarding card and my tickets, yours truly genuinely thought we were going from gatwick. Luckily my partner realised my mistake at the 11th hour whilst trying to find some US dollars online so despite a detour we all made it on to the half full flight.9 hours later we arrived in entebbe, but a mix up on our arrival time meant  John our Uganda contact was still in bed. A quick wake up call and a couple of hours later we arrived at our first hotel, the central inn.Its the start of day 2 and we are off to Tororo about 160km via the national stadium.
