Today was a full day of coaching with 5 schools coached.
The first location we arrived in was home to 2 schools railway and railway seed secondary. We ran 4 stations – batting, bowling, fielding (catching) and cross fire (throwing).
It was great to see some of the teachers from the coaching on Monday, one of them took me to her class room and told her pupils to leave their exam to come and take a photo with me which was really sweet.
The sessions went really well with great engagement and enthusiasm from the children, Lots of them were asking when they could play again and we told them about the sessions coach Igulu runs and lots were very keen to go along to them.
It was very hot today and I am amazed and so impressed by the energy that was brought to each and every one of the sessions. By the last one we were a little thin on the ground for various reasons but those that remained brought the enthusiasm and energy to the session where we played 2 games of rapid fire. A fantastic time was had by all and every child had a smile on their face and a desire to play more cricket having had great fun.
