After a much anticipated day off on Sunday we were back in action for our last couple of days in Kumi.
Monday morning began with the team splitting in 2 to cover more schools.
We now have the setting up down to a fine art and it’s only taken 21 schools and 5,000+ kids to get the kit bags properly organised!!
The morning ended with a wonderfully moving moment. Becky and Jo ended up in the middle of 100’s of exuberant children and teachers singing and dancing together.

All Together Now!
The rest of the day went smoothly and we even managed to time things perfectly so we were all packed up and on the bus before the brooding storm hit and the heavens opened.
That didn’t stop the playlist coming on and the singing continued on route to the hotel.
Our final morning in Kumi meant festival time.
9 school teams putting the skills they had learnt over the last few days to the test with some rapid fire matches.

End of Tournament Presentations
The final was won by Kumi Primary but we also included a special spirit of cricket award for the team that demonstrated the best team work and encouragement.
Saying goodbye to the Kumi Coaches was tough. They had been incredibly supportive, welcoming and enthusiastic.
They also got the prize for having teachers at the ground waiting for training before we’d even arrived to set up.
Having waved Kumi goodbye we all braced ourselves for the 4 hour drive to Lugazi.
This was made easier by finding ice cream when we stopped at the halfway point (and Jonathan’s playlist of course!)
To top things off our new hotel has a pool which we were pretty much all enjoying within minutes of checking in. Perfect!!
