Today was a real working day. We met and coached 6 primary schools and 4 secondary schools today (with the help of the teacher\/coaches we trained yesterday) – quite a challenge. Our coaching numbers were slightly down – as Darren had an appointment with “percy porcelain” … but we hope we will be in better colour tomorrow (you’ll be glad to hear that this event will not be covered in pictures by this blog).<\/p>\n

Paul – our team leader – said that he couldn’t believe the splashes of colour – so many shades. You can see from the school groups in the blog below that we truly had a rainbow of colour today.<\/p>\n

The magic continues for us all (and hopefully for Darren when he is less green around the gills). Jo said that “This is better than I ever imagined”. Richard continued to mastermind the training as lead tutor. He’s always full of great advice – today’s was “be prepared to be silly – it works!”. Claire continues to be impressed by the quality of the girls “They’ve been phenomenal. I can’t believe their throwing and I really enjoyed seeing the girls beating the boys in a competition to throw the stumps down.”<\/p>\n

Simon – the Uganda country manager for CWB is leaving us tomorrow. His lasting impression is “athleticism with behaviour.” Neil – being more practical says “we need more cones!”. Apparently the cones are on their way for Kampala – when you have over 300 kids to coach “boundaries” are important.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
