\n<\/strong>I have been involved in cricket for as long as I can remember, did have a few years break before being persuaded to take it up again as more of a fun pastime which lead to me taking up coaching and being even more involved than before. I still play to a fashion.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>When CWB leagend Jules Farman joined our ladies team, after which a couple of our team volunteered and after hearing all their stories and seeing their photos and with bit of nagging and a few \u201cyou should go comments\u201d in 2017 I finally volunteered and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>To try to help inspire more children to give cricket\/sport a go. To see all the smiles and the sheer joy a simple tennis ball and plastic bat can bring. To meet new people and to learn a few more things about myself and Uganda.<\/p>\n

\nI’m Sport mad and i love Cricket and Rugby. I play cricket for Malpas CC (The Real MCC) distinctly averagely and referee and coach rugby. I love to travel too and have been to Australia for a lions tour and an Ashes trip.<\/p>\n
\nI first saw CWB on Twitter and after a little research sent off an application form in an hour.<\/p>\n
\nI hope I can enrich young people’s lives for a few hours and show them how fun cricket can be. I hope our trip can bring energy, fun and laughter to the schools we visit whilst creating a positive legacy.<\/p>\n

\nI was born and lived in Leeds all my life. I love most sports but I\u2019m a cricket enthusiast try to coach and play as much as I can. I\u2019ve worked for a couple of coaching company\u2019s and just looking to get as much experience as possible within cricket.<\/p>\n
\nThrough a friend who forwarded me details about upcoming trips.<\/p>\n
\nTo learn more about Uganda and experience a bit of their culture. To help and support the charity and do my best to get involved as much as I can. I\u2019m hoping this experience will encourage me to do more for charities in the future.<\/p>\n

\nI am a very sporty person, I love playing cricket and watching it live or on the tele. I am also a season ticket holder at Luton Town FC which is another passion of mine. I try and get to most home matches and some away ones with my little boy Harry.<\/p>\n
\none of my best mates Carl Ferguson who has been on many trips with CWB including this one introduced me a number of years ago.<\/p>\n
\nI hope that i can maybe make a difference to one or two childrens lifes in some small way. On a personal note I am hoping to see what Africa is truly like.<\/p>\n

\nI\u2019ve been playing cricket pretty much all my life and started playing adult league cricket at 9. I\u2019m a feminist and having two beautiful six year-old twin daughters has only strengthened that.<\/p>\n
\nIt started when I watched the film Warriors. It really moved me and I stayed and watched the credits, noting down who was involved. Having looked into CWB I knew that I wanted to get involved.<\/p>\n
\nTo connect with and inspire with as many Ugandan\u2019s as it\u2019s possible to. And to share a few laughs along the way.<\/p>\n

\nGrowing up in Huddersfield has provided me with the ideal background for volunteering in developing countries, I have used this alongside my Level 3 cricket coaching to help take CWBs message to Rwanda, Cameroon, Kenya and Uganda.<\/p>\n
\nI am looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing how the game is developing and helping to train the next generation of cricket coaches who will help to deliver the messages to the young about their future.<\/p>\n

\nWhen I signed up to go to Rwanda with CWB in 2012, I was unaware how it would have such a profound effect on my life afterwards and certainly wouldn\u2019t have believed that I am about to embark on my 6th trip to Africa. That first trip certainly challenged my perspective. I am extremely proud to feel a part of its fabled \u2018family\u2019. Cricket itself is a huge passion of mine and I play, having done so for 22 years, for Flitwick CC (\u2018The Mighty Otters\u2019) in Bedfordshire.<\/p>\n
\nI literally cannot wait to get out to Uganda to meet new friends and to experience all the things that the country has to offer.<\/p>\n
