Nickname: At work ‘Professor’; at cricket ‘Cymbals

Home Town: North London

I am volunteering for CWB in Uganda because: I’ve been on four CWB projects and loved every minute. I have found a regular boost of smiles from enthusiastic children keeps me going at work for the rest of the year and everyone at CWB who has been to Uganda tells me how beautiful it is, so I want to see for myself.

Why Am I nearly famous – Nearly famous? Don’t you know who I am? I’ve hit an England bowler for 4 and my wife has an OBE!

First 3 songs when I shuffle my Ipod:

I am not sure what this meant but I understand the task was to blindfold myself and choose a selection of discs from my LP collection. I found
1. Waterloo Sunset – The Kinks (The greatest song about the greatest city in the world)
2.  Empire State of Mind – Jay-Z (pretty good song about a fairly interesting city)
3. Hurt – Johnny Cash (not about any city, but about everything else important in life!)

Home Town: Redhill, Surrey

I am volunteering for CWB in Uganda because: I’m doing this as I am extremely passionate about cricket and also about the power cricket has to teach valuable life lessons and educating communities around the world. I am lucky enough to have grown up with a very supportive family. Many people do not have this support or people around to offer advice and guidance. If I can help even one person then I am making a difference. Going to Africa is one of my biggest dreams, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for me to help volunteering with local communities and giving young people a chance of a better future. (brief-ooppsss-as you can tell I talk too much!!)

I was nearly famous because my dad is Chris Evans………just not the ginger version-plus he’s a little older!

First 3 songs when I shuffle my Ipod:

1. I Don’t Want to Be by Gavin DeGraw
2. History by One Direction (I know embarrassing!!)
3. How to Save a Life by The Fray

I am volunteering for CWB in Uganda because: I loved my trip to Botswana last year. I have played sport since a very young age and have experienced a great deal of enjoyment through playing sport. I want to be able to help share some of the enjoyment I have experienced with those less fortunate than myself through the coaching of cricket

I was nearly famous because a paparazzi photographer took a photograph of myself and a couple of friends having a beer with former footballers Lee Sharpe and Chris Kamara

First 3 songs when I shuffle my Ipod:
