Another Hot Day Coaching Schools Around Kigali<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was another intense and rewarding day coaching schools around the centre of Kigali. From the moment we stepped off the bus, the heat was almost overwhelming \u2014 the temperatures had us sweating straight away, but that didn\u2019t dampen our spirits one bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first school of the morning was brilliant. We split into two groups of 40 children each and ran a game of rapid fire cricket. The energy was fantastic, and after about 20 minutes, as the rest of the school finished for the day, a crowd of around 200 children gathered to watch the exciting conclusion of one of our games. The children were well behaved, polite, and incredibly enthusiastic \u2014 it was an absolute pleasure to engage with them and inspire their interest in cricket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After greeting the headmaster and thanking him for welcoming us into the school, we quickly moved on to our next coaching session. As you can see from the smiles in the pictures, everyone was energized and ready for what lay ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our second stop was the Indira Hub, led by Coach “Tall” Eric. Here, I had the privilege of observing some of Rwanda\u2019s women’s national cricket team players. I was lucky to run a specialized bowling workshop focused on spinners for one hour. It was fantastic to witness the high level at which these ladies play\u2014they could definitely bowl me out or hit me out of the park for six! Their skill and determination were truly inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, it was another fantastic day with the team, full of learning and rewarding moments. We continue to feel proud and grateful to work alongside the Rwandan Cricket Association, helping to grow the game and inspire the next generation of players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
