With a nod to our unofficial soundtrack suppliers The Spice Girls today was a day when we could have sung 9 Become 6!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Already down a person (9 become 8) due to a day of WhatsApp job interviews, one look at Sam\u2019s foot after rolling it yesterday meant he was staying put for the day and 9 become 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we left the hotel for our first school we quickly popped into the local poly clinic with a photo of the offending foot at which point the doctor said, \u201cI need to see this foot\u201d and Thom was sent on Father duties to get it X-Rayed. 9 become 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Super Six set off (again) for our first school, GS Rugeshi, and upon arrival were greeted with hundreds of crazy & energetic children. After splitting down into stations we decided to set up batting as far away as possible from the other groups.

The batting station Danny & I were running descended into mass chaos after ~200 Nursery & Primary school children decided to become our 12th men & women. It was probably the first experience the team has had of truly \u2018uncontrollable children\u2019, the teachers returning to their classrooms to enjoy their morning off! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two hours later the team recouped on the bus to discover that Sam has potentially dislocated his ankle and was to be spending the rest of the trip in a cast. We\u2019re deeply saddened he won\u2019t be joining us for Spice Girls Karaoke tonight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brief stop off for lunch, and we gathered some Rwanda football shirts and FC Muzanze jackets to accompany our on-stage performance later tonight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch we picked Thom up from the hotel and travelled to GS Kabaya where we were greeted with yet more rain, and crazy kids! Following some impromptu games in the rain we set up our stations and embarked on another batting session greeted by lots of school and street children, hammering out our ABCTs as best we could. We did get some value with the secondary students later in the session involving both teams in an in-depth monitoring and evaluation session at the close of a close game of Rapid Fire.

Over dinner we discussed our move to Gitarama\/Muhanga tomorrow following the Musanze festival our next few days in Kigali and Kinihira …… alongside our new FC Muzanze chants.
