Reason for going: I decided to pursue this opportunity to go to Rwanda as it will be an experience of a life time. I be able to develop my coaching skills and make a difference to those who are less fortunate than I am.

Age: 20

Hobbies: Swimming, Lifesaving
Reason for going: I have never had an opportunity like this before so when it came up I jumped at the chance to go. I am going to try and make a difference to children/people who need it. I am also going to help raise awareness for the world wide issue of AIDS and hopefully touch many lives in a positive way.
Fun Fact: LOVES chicken

Name: Leighton Stanger
Age:  19

Hobbies: Football, eating Enchiladas
Reason for going: the main reason for wanting to go to Rwanda for me was that it is a opportunity for me that I have not experienced before, it involves going to a country I have never visited and coach children in a different environment than I would in the UK.
Fun Fact: Won division three with TASC force 141

Name: Samantha Ashton
Age: 19 (I turn 20 whilst in Rwanda)
Course: Secondary PE and Sports Coaching
Hobbies: Badminton, Frisbee
Reason for going: after working in America during summer 2017 for 4 months, I realised my love for travelling and finding new places to visit. When the opportunity came up to visit Rwanda I took it immediately. I think it will be really rewarding being able to coach the communities out there fun games and sports, as well as the important health messages being taught.
Fun Fact: I know the full “Crazy in Love” dance routine

Name: Molly Dowse
Age: 20
Course: Secondary PE and Sports Coaching
Hobbies: Swimming, Hockey
Reason for going: My reasons for wanting to go are I have never done anything like this before and I feel like it will be a rewarding experience as I will be working with children who will appreciate our work out there more so than children here. In addition I feel as though it will be a very fun and exciting experience as I will get to work alongside my course friends and take part in lots of sports where we will be encouraging participation along with educating the children the facts about HIV and how they can help to prevent the spread of the disease.
Fun Fact: Knows all the words to “Fergalicious”- Fergie

Name: Olympia Agorini
Age: 21

Hobbies: Netball, Travelling
Reason for going: I found out about the trip through my lectures and immediately was very interested to sign up and get involved. I have previously volunteered abroad within an under privileged area of Thailand. I found the whole experience very rewarding and inspired me to want to carry on helping others who are less fortunate than myself.
Fun Fact: Can sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” in Mandarin

Reason for Going: when I heard about the opportunity to volunteer in Rwanda I had to take the opportunity to do something that I have never done before as it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. It will enable me to develop my coaching and to learn new skills through the teaching of important health messages in fun and sporty environment.
Fun Fact: I can bend my elbow inwards.

Occupation: Graduate Trainee
Hobbies: Kickboxing, Travelling, swimming
Reason for going: The opportunity came up for a staff member to accompany the students on this trip so I had to take the chance and apply. I thought this would be an amazing experience to make a difference within Rwanda and to support the students in order for them get the most out of the trip.
