Monday morning saw most of the group return to Greenhills to continue working with their secondary and primary classes, we ran 4 classes in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. The emphasis now is getting more out of the teachers who are there and attended the coach education. It is important that when we leave in a week they will still be able to run good sessions with the kids.
The secondary classes are now starting to play proper games of cricket with scoring, and it is our hope that we will have a full game of cricket before we leave so the teachers can see one in action.
According to Dave it was the best lunch yet with jerk chicken and rice on the menu. The odd part of the day was that the the mornings classes were set against the backdrop of some very loud German rap music coming from a nearby classroom.
After coaching both days over the weekend me and Tim were given the day off and we made the most of this by playing 9 holes of golf in the mid-day heat (mad dogs and English men), a close game had Tim run out winner but how he got a free drop out of the local caddie on the 8th I will never know.
It was then the usual split to Kagarame and Nyagunga although both sessions were cut short by rain. I was up at Kagarame and we used the rain break to have a look around the school and then went into the canteen to do some wicket keeping practice with Stuart and Robert who are both keen to take it up.
After cleaning up we jumped in a couple of taxis and headed out for a curry and then had a short walk up to have a look at the hotel that was made famous during the genocide and in the film Hotel Rwanda.
