Despite the horrible weather the First (and only) Thurstonland marathon took place early on the morning of the 11th September. I am glad to report that all three of us got round successfully in around 5 hours.
Huge thanks to everyone who turned up to give their support, especially Gill, Nick, Leo and Rob who were there from the very start and had to brave the worst of the weather. Everyone presence was much appreciated and needed by all of us and definitely helped to keep us going when things got difficult.
Apologies to the cricket club for the new mud boundary marking but hopefully this will recover over the winter. Just the training weekend in Brighton now to go and then away to Rwanda.
