On Tuesday we had a lovely final session with the kids at a special needs school. There was about 20 or so kids but atleast that many locals came to watch and find out what the commotion was all about,

The kids had varying abilities but all got involved as we started with some simple catch, moved on to heads, shoulders, knees and ball, then a bit of cross fire where they got to throw the stumps down. Some great throwing was on show!
After all the excitement Lee led a little meditation-style calming breathing so that we didn’t leave the kids too over-excited for the lovely couple who ran the school. They and the kids were truly inspiring and it left us all a little more humble but also uplifted from our short time there.
When we met Sabal Nepal for dinner on Thursday, they mentioned that they would like CWB’s support in expanding cricket into schools for the disabled, which we were happy to agree to. Sessions with kids who have special needs or disabilities are so rewarding for all involved, and core to what we want to do. Our inspiring Tuesday session was just a reminder of that.
