What a weekend with CWB
2 days buzzing, for new and returners to see
How volunteering in coaching
Is fun and rewarding
To enable the change makers to continue being sporting

We lapped it up
Till we popped with glee
The knowledge gained
The family we joined
All about coaching
Fun safe with inclusivity

How What When
Let’s keep it simple
Introduction small with name and game
Make it energised,
There’s no surprises
What we’re wanting is
Fun and play
Learning all the way
Demonstrate clearly, check all can see
Teams assembled, girls and boys equally
Play then recall, what they take away
from the day for all.

To understand their concerns listening is key
The problems insitu the knowledge they see
Ask how to overcome some of these

We unravelled the string of
Near and far
To see how developed the world has become
yet resistance in parts
calls for us to keep stum
Respect and discretion
a practising art.

We wrapped up the sessions with learning from all
Questions before tea
Well that was for Lee
So we will be happy no worries to forsee

Discrimination bowled out
Changes a field
To celebrate the joy
Of girls playing cricket
