Girls hardball introduction<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30 girls from several schools joined forces to experience hardball cricket in a beautiful tree surrounded pitch. We started with a pairs game to scope the amount of cricket their had played. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then quickly split the group to cover the major coaching points for batting and bowling and saw massive improvements. Introducing competition & hardball as much as possible. The girls across the schools were mixed up to help them develop new friendships across the region. <\/p>\n\n\n

Local male cricket players with club kit supported the girls and put up a net for us. The girls looked like they truly loved putting on the pads, gloves & helmets and really didn\u2019t want to take them off or come out of the net. Plenty of smiles! The local coaches despite the heat continued to support the girls and feed \/ field balls and replace cones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every girl bowled and hit hardballs and wore hardball kit and from what I saw loved their first hardball experience.
