So today we coached at a school as a full 10 person team in the morning. Fabulous group of students in Tarahara…much fun was had by all . Balls flying bats bashing. Kids very sweaty and very happy.

Our group gathered in and I asked if we would be back. I explained via our incredible young local female coach Tika that they would be having local coaches.. The smallest quietest girl in the group suddenly found her voice and asked if she would be allowed to play.

At this point I was pleased to tell her that better than that. _ If girls were NOT allowed then the boys would not be having any coaching. Biggest smile of the day ensued!<\/p>\n\n\n

We split in the afternoon and I was assigned to the introduction to hard ball cricket group.
Girls from different schools in the area had gathered and had super fun batting and bowling . Some interesting walks evolved as girls tried to walk ir run in pads for the first time. They loved wearing the pads and we found it a challenge getting them to swap over!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onward and upwards. .Up at 6 30 tomorrow for our next school two and a half hours away.. .I get the sense we are making a difference ….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
