Saq, Yolanda and I started at Satyanarayan secondary school, and although most of the boys had played before, for some of the girls this was their first taste of cricket. It was all hands on deck to run the sessions, with a bit of crowd control thrown in, and we were pleased to finish the last session in the tranquil setting of Saraswati school, where special guest Mr Miyagi joined our coaching team to see the girls show us their skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/nepal2023\/files\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-11-27-at-23.13.23.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-67\" width=\"181\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/nepal2023\/files\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-11-27-at-23.13.23.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/nepal2023\/files\/2023\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-11-27-at-23.13.23-225x300.jpeg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 181px) 100vw, 181px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally we joined our CWB Ambassadors, Sanu (ex Nepal U19) and Kajal, at the nets of Biratnagar City Cricket Academy, to help them prepare for tomorrow&#8217;s district trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our debutants Rob, Saq and Kajal absolutely nailed their first day, so it was off to celebrate with dinner. The enormous ground is being developed with funding from our partners MCC Foundation, and will be a facility Biratnagar can be proud of. A total of 62 girls and 22 boys represented 4 schools, and we enjoyed a highly competitive day of pairs cricket. Given this was the first time most of the kids had played &#8220;proper&#8221; cricket, the standard was amazing, with two very close finishes. Mahendra just came out on top in the boy&#8217;s event, and Saraswati won the girl&#8217;s by 3 runs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3
