Having spent the previous day helping Sara and Nick with coach education, today was back to business as usual and great to be back with the team to visit another four local primary schools, engaging with over 1,000 children in a day.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I was delighted to see 4 of the coaches we had trained yesterday join us today to help out and gain some useful experience.\u00a0 Plus the fact they speak the \u2018lingo\u2019 is a real bonus for us newbies!\u00a0 The UK CWB team are only in country for 2 weeks, so training local coaches is a vital part of continuing to grow cricket and promoting HIV awareness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The coaches went from strength to strength over the course of the day: a little nervous in the morning, wanting to make sure they got all the information correct and quieter voices, but slicker, louder, more enthusiastic and bouncy as we went through the day – possibly enhanced by their \u201cRadio CWB\u201d takeover with some raucous local tunes!<\/span><\/p>\n

So how did the day go ? The team put a smile on the face of 1,066 kids; not bad for a days work!<\/span><\/p>\n

I got booted out of my comfort zone being up front and centre on a convenient raised \u2018stage\u2018 with Sara in front of pretty much the whole school while she adapted the song \u2018 Every where we go…..\u2019\u00a0 All I can say is thank god the kids drowned out my voice and the actions were easy! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all another tough but fab day with a great team doing some great things.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fun Fact #4:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Man who only remembers to put sun tan cream on one leg in the morning will have a new style of walking the following day!<\/span><\/p>\n
