\"\"The schools, the teachers, the coaches, the young people. Wow.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Another overwhelmingly brilliant day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the nicest things to witness while coaching at the local schools (apart from the beautiful views) is the enthusiasm from the teachers. They, along with the children, are so grateful for us being there and the time we spend with the children coaching them cricket and spreading awareness around HIV.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Being invited into the headteachers’ office for a formal welcoming is slightly nerve wracking but also such a privilege.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The teachers from some of the schools really get involved, they help us with the language barriers and support and encourage the children. It\u2019s great to see. <\/span><\/p>\n

Knowing that we are only here for a short period of time, it makes me happy to know that the teachers are going to carry on the cricket coaching and the HIV messages when we sadly have to leave. One school has already requested some coaching materials in order to get there team up & running by next year; another said they’re adding cricket to their schedule from next term!<\/span><\/p>\n

Before leaving the schools the teachers, and the children often say a heart warming thank you to the team. When the teachers are personally thanking us and you can see the smiles on their faces when playing with the children, you really feel like you\u2019re making a difference, not just to the children but to the teachers as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A great day, four schools done (& a return to the secondary school we visited on Day Two after they asked us back!). Another fine job.<\/p>\n
