Day 2 started for all in a likewise fashion with a spot of breakfast around 8am after which it was on the bus to make our way to Kisumu Academy for a day of teaching teachers how to teach cricket, to their respective students (as they were from a mix of different schools around Kisumu).<\/p>\n

David Gellers and Carl got the session underway in an oh so professional manner ensuring each of the Kenyan teachers and to-be cricket coaches knew exactly why CWB were there and what it was they were hoping to achieve from the day.<\/p>\n

\nKid friendly warm-ups, batting, bowling and fielding drills followed by a game of kwik cricket were the order of the day, out of which everyone gained maximum enjoyment, while concurrently allowing each other to express their culture in regards of attitude towards playing the game of cricket.<\/p>\n

\nIndia \u2018B\u2019 then made an entrance in their bhangra bus tochallenge CWB to a 12 over match.<\/p>\n

Nicholas our Kenyan ambassador top scored with 42 off 29 balls for CWB.<\/p>\n

Both Carl and Vards (Greig) dissapointingly recording first ball ducks, (Fergy taking a despairing, agricultural swipe only to watch his off-stump cartwheel back to the boundary).<\/p>\n

\nA visit to the local orphanage was in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

during which wristbands and tennis balls were given out. A moving experience for us all.<\/p>\n

\nAnyway that was our empty glass for day 2 (oh with a meal and boat trip to the edge of Lake Victoria for some \u2013 saw some hippo\u2019s spraying out water \u2013 cool; just before it ended).<\/p>\n
