This morning we said goodbye to kisumu officially with a bang. We headed out early after loading up the battle bus and headed to kimugu school. The school itself is nestled among the tea plantations and the students are the children of the plantation workers.
We ran 2 1 hour sessions here and coached over 400 children. Before we hit the road to Nakuru, Carl and Vards entered the classroom for an extra comedy session linked to the A,B,C messages.
We then set off, taking in incredible views of the abundant tea plantations that stretched as far as the eye could see before entering the stunning scenery of the rift valley. Eventually we reached Nakuru and our hotel for the remainder of our trip, with Olly winning the sweepstake.
After we had unpacked and aclimatised most of the group met our local contact, Peter-a former Kenya international opening bowler. On our trip back to the hotel we met Patrick, a local street seller who claims to be a Geordie. The day was rounded off with a meal at the hotel and Colette causing trouble by peeking in to the mens only bar and upsetting the locals
