Our trip has come and gone so fast
\nBut memories for us all will last .
\nFrom England’s shires, with cold and rain
\nTo Cameroonian sun we came.
\nWe didn’t really know the score,
\nAs we landed at Duoala\u2019s shore.
\nOur senses have a massive treat ,
\nFrom sights to sound and intense heat.
\nWe met our guides called Jules and James,
\nAnd Idris as a friend too, came.
\nFour schools around Douala seen,
\nWith pupils and their staff so keen,
\nTo try a play our cricket games
\nAs \u201csida\u201dinfo we proclaim .
\nOur group is Andy, Dom and Sam
\nIan , David and Jess (Madame).
\nAs newbies to this sort of stuff,
\nAnd language skills a little rough
\nThough gain in confidence we do
\nAs many sessions we run through.
\nTo Buea for a day we go
\nTo take part in a cricket show.
\nAgainst the National cricket side,
\nWe try our best but wickets slide
\nAnd victory to our host assured
\nOur real talents have been obscured.
\nSo to Yaound\u00e9 off we go
\nWith Simon(e) and his driving show,
\nOf making lanes where none exist
\nAnd on the horn , he does persist.
\nYaound\u00e9 gives a different theme
\nNew challenges for all the team.
\nFrom richer schools who English speak
\nTo ones, not so \u201cmagnifique \u201c
\nSo would we do this all again,
\nOr take the easy choice of Spain.
\nCWB has been immense
\nAnd given us a new found sense
\nOf how to help and have some fun
