What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – Love the sense of the unknown and the opportunity to be involved in our first trip was too tempting. Plus i have only been to East Africa, so I am looking forward to heading to the Westside.

Favourite moment in Africa – Trying to teach Sean (an American who runs Rwandan Orphanage Project) Cricket. The poor bloke just could not get his head around it but joined in with all the kids anyway.

Cameron Foster
What you do? Inspirational Speaker at www.cameronfoster.co.uk
Cricket Experience? Played club cricket since 7 y/o. Represented district teams. Current senior squad player at Leigh CC in Lancashire.
Coaching Experience? Been coaching since 14 years young (Karate, Cricket, Basketball and Football). Currently employed as a community sports coach for Wigan Sports Development working with disabled kids. Run the Under 9’s cricket team at my club and Run an Under 8’s football team.

Have you been on any previous CWB trips? – Kenya November 2011
What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – Excited by the opportunity to be on the first trip and going to a brand new country.

Favourite moment in Africa? (if not applicable favourite moment in an overseas country) Around 100 school kids doing the Poznan (Man City celebration) after they beat United 6-1 the day before. By the way I am an avid Man United fan.

What you do? Sport Development Officer at Leeds Trinity University / Studying for an MA at Sheffield Hallam
Cricket Experience? I learnt to play Kwik Cricket as a youngster aged 8 in a week long course at my local Leisure Centre. Since then as I have played mostly 'beach/holiday' cricket.
Coaching Experience? Have led cricket sessions as part of multisport coaching days with children in the past but not a qualified coach. Although I'm aiming to complete my UKCC L1 course in the near future.

Have you been on any previous CWB trips? – 2012 Spring trip to Uganda
What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – As Country Manager I have been involved in the Cameroon project from day one and I am excited to finally get out to this wonderful country and experience what promises to be amazing new cultures and meet the people of Cameroon.

What you do? IT Project Manager at The Body Shop – currently just managed the launch of a new loyalty scheme in Spain and Sweden. We are also launching a new iPhone App in the next few weeks!

What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – I have heard such amazing stories from the trips, I wanted to have an experience of volunteering, seeing how much of a difference it can make to children and their teachers.

Have you been on any previous CWB trips? – Botswana 2009 (Project leader); Botswana 2010 (Country Manager)
What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – Breaking new ground with CWB in a new country. Chance to experience West Africa.
FUN STUFF!
Favourite moment in Africa? Returning to Botswana in 2010 to see teachers we trained in 2009 now running their own coaching in Schools. Also seeing the Botswana Cricket Authority adopting our coaching principles and embracing HIV/Aids awareness by having the Red Ribbon on their clothing and ‘Hitting Aids For Six’ as their motto!
If you were to write a book about yourself what would the title be? Me – from start to finish (almost)

What you do? Deputy manager at a pub
Cricket Experience? Played for my club since I was 10, but I was playing with a cricket bat and ball way before then.
Coaching Experience? I started coaching at secondary school completing various leadership courses where I completed my first level 1 course at college to then progress to level 2 and hopefully move up to level 3 in the near future. I'm the club development manager at my local club encouraging children and adults to participate in cricket and non cricketers to volunteer within the club.

Explain CWB in one word – rewarding
Have you been on any previous CWB trips? – yes, the Cameroon trip will be my fourth straight trip.
What was your incentive to going to Cameroon? – to be one of the first volunteers to go out and hopefully set up a strong link between CWB and Cameroon cricket federation. Having been appointed as the HIV/AIDS awareness lead for Cameroon I will be ensuring that we are up to date with all the information possible regarding HIV/AIDS in Cameroon.

What you do? Retired from Grounds manager and cricket coach at Lancing College. Now part time cricket coach.
Cricket experience? Auckland Schools NZ, Cheshire U19, ESCA U19, Army and Combined Services, Warwickshire CCC, Berkshire CCC, club professional Arbroath United CC.
Coaching experience? Coaching Award, Advanced Award, Level 3 coach, tutor/assessor. Professional club coach, County age group coach and 30 years of schools coaching. Overseas coaching experience in 15 countries.

What is your incentive to going to Cameroon? To go to another part of Africa and compare with the countries I know so well.
