I&rsquo;ve delivered coaching courses for ICC Europe in places as diverse as Austria and the Isle of Man. I&rsquo;ve had the chance to work in the UK and abroad both as a cricket coach as well as&nbsp; my other &lsquo;job&rsquo; as a Sports Massage Practitioner &#8211; the highlight of this was working at the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games. A keen cricketer, rugby player and footballer, I spend most of my time these days &lsquo;patching&rsquo; up and putting back together sportspeople from&nbsp; all different sports and activities, from &lsquo;elite&rsquo; to &lsquo;social&rsquo; level!! Still get to the gym whenever work [and apathy!] don&rsquo;t get in the way, but enjoy getting out on the bike or taking long walks in the surrounding countryside, which is breathtaking.<br \/>\n\t\t\tMy wife, Carole, and I have been living in the Highlands of Scotland for 18 years but still enjoy the occasional visit south to London and the Home Counties for family visits, tourist-type outings, etc &#8211; it&rsquo;s always nice to return to the peace and tranquillity of the far North!!<br \/>\n\t\t\tThis will be my second visit to Botswana with CWB &ndash; a different group of volunteers this time, but I&rsquo;m sure it will be an equally enjoyable and productive trip, and I&rsquo;m really looking forward to renewing friendships made on my last trip!!<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Carl.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Carl\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-46\" height=\"226\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Carl-300x226.jpg\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Carl-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Carl.jpg 456w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Carl Hamilton<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Carl is a qualified teacher who has taught Physical Education in three different schools over an 18 year career.&nbsp; He now manages North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership and oversees the development and delivery of high quality PE and sport in 55 schools.&nbsp; Through this role he also works closely with numerous community sports clubs and leisure providers including a number of cricket clubs.<br \/>\n\t\t\tCarl is a real sports enthusiast and has played both rugby and football for many years.&nbsp; In the summer he enjoys playing &lsquo;social&rsquo; village cricket with his friends and is also a member of the local gym.<br \/>\n\t\t\tHe has talked about travelling to Africa as a volunteer for many years but has finally taken the plunge with the help of Cricket Without Boundaries!<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Andrew Ferguson<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<br \/>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">I am 35 and a recently qualified Level 2 coach still finding my way in the<br \/>\n\t\t\tcoaching world. &nbsp;I help out at the local club with the U11s and play<br \/>\n\t\t\toccasionally for them. &nbsp;However I am a keen member of our Sunday village<br \/>\n\t\t\tside.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">I manage a diversified farm &#8211; with arable land and various farm buildings<br \/>\n\t\t\tthat are let out for commercial uses.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">I am very much looking forward to the trip to Botswana where I hope I can do<br \/>\n\t\t\tmy bit to help and also help my own coaching skills.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Paul.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Paul\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-47\" height=\"170\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Paul-300x170.jpg\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Paul-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Paul.jpg 303w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Paul Juckett<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Paul is 44 years old and works on the British railway network as a Guards Manager for First Great Western.<br \/>\n\t\t\tA keen cricket player in his youth, he was forced to give up playing when he was 17 after gaining employment with the Railway because of the shift work.<br \/>\n\t\t\tNow living in Cornwall, a married father of two, he got re-involved with cricket when his son started playing at the local club (Menheniot-Looe CC). Being a willing volunteer, Paul was quickly made an Assistant Coach and then level two coach as well as the clubs Child Welfare Officer.<br \/>\n\t\t\tPaul has coached the clubs youth sides since 2009, whilst also undertaking the Secretary&rsquo;s role for one year and Club Chairman for the past two years.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Scott-CWB.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Scott CWB\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-50\" height=\"225\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Scott-CWB-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Scott-CWB-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Scott-CWB.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Scott Warren<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Aged 19, Scott is a very keen village cricketer who volunteers as an ECB Level One coach at his local club. He works in a shop selling sports equipment and is very passionate about every sport he has ever played. He has visited Botswana once before in Autumn 2012 on a previous Cricket Without Boundaries trip and loved it so much, has decided to go again. <\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">He looks forward to the inevitable new challenges that will come his way on this trip as well as the smiles on the faces of all the people he works with.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Mark.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Mark\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-51\" height=\"183\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana13\/files\/2013\/09\/Mark.jpg\" width=\"142\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Mark Campbell<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">Mark is a qualified social worker and has been working with children for over 25 years.&nbsp; He has been involved with child protection, for children who are unable to live with their families and children affected by HIV\/AIDS. He has managed teams working with disabled children and currently manages a team working with children who are in public care.<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">He has been playing cricket for over forty years and is a qualified ECB Level 2 coach and Club Welfare Officer. He has wanted to visit Botswana since leaning about the Kalahari and the Magadikadi Pans whilst studying geography at university. Now he is lucky enough to have the chance to do this again and is looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting lots of new ones &ndash; all with the same broad smiles. Can&rsquo;t wait!<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">David Boothroyd<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"font-family: Noteworthy;font-size: 18px;font-weight: bold;line-height: 24px\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">I am a retail manager, whose main passion is cricket. I have played as long as I can remember! I am currently opening bowler&nbsp;(and solid number 11 bat) for Turnham Green and Polytechnic CC (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tgpcc.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.tgpcc.org<\/a>).<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<div style=\"font-family:Noteworthy;font-size:18px;font-weight:bold;line-height:24px\">\n\t\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"font-family:Noteworthy;font-size:18px;font-weight:bold;line-height:24px\">\n\t\t\t\t<span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif\">I also coach their u13 colts team, along with the u12 Hounslow Borough team, which is the first step on a colt&#039;s journey on the Middlesex pathway. I was also a GamesMaker for the Olympics, working on the fencing<br \/>\n(fortunately, I&#8217;m a better fencer than I am cricketer!)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m returning to beautiful Botswana as HIV Lead for the charity, so my role<br \/>\nis now focussed on overseeing the future HIV message strategy that we<br \/>\nincorporate into everything we do. I will be meeting with key stakeholders<br \/>\nin country, from media to Ministry, so if there&#8217;s anyone you think I should<br \/>\nliaise with, please let me know!
