{"id":70,"date":"2012-11-09T21:03:31","date_gmt":"2012-11-09T21:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/?p=70"},"modified":"2012-11-22T17:56:25","modified_gmt":"2012-11-22T17:56:25","slug":"day-4-friday-9th-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/2012\/11\/09\/day-4-friday-9th-november\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 4 &#8211; Friday 9th November &#8211; The boys melt in Moshupa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">The day started, very much like England; overcast and windy,&nbsp;which was a relief to some of the guys after 4 days in the hot sun.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">We were driven by our excellent driver, Moxie on the hour long journey to Kgabophutti primary in Moshupa.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">Upon arrival, as usual, no teachers were in sight, the normal African day.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">After they finally arrived and introduced themselves, the&nbsp;13 teachers and the volunteers, were off out to the dustbowl under still cloudy skies for a quick game of continuous cricket with the teachers.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">Charlie, Mark, Suresh and Dave led sessions in the basic skills of cricket, while Scotty slept in the van, catching up on sleep after 3 tough days of coaching in the blazing sun!<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">Followed by presentations of certificates to the teachers and Mark&#039;s HIV\/AIDS awareness session.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1018.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-117\" height=\"290\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1018-290x290.jpg\" width=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1018-290x290.jpg 290w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1018-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 290px) 100vw, 290px\" \/><\/a><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">Before lunch, Paul, our leader had the opportunity to meet the minister responsible for the Botswana National Sports council:<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1013.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-119\" height=\"290\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1013-290x290.jpg\" width=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1013-290x290.jpg 290w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_1013-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 290px) 100vw, 290px\" \/><\/a><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">No lunch!<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">For the the afternoon session, Mr Blue Sky returned and temperatures soared to 40 degrees.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">We were mobbed by 150 eager children from 3 local schools all wanting to play cricket.
