{"id":139,"date":"2012-11-14T08:11:16","date_gmt":"2012-11-14T08:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/?p=139"},"modified":"2012-11-22T18:06:17","modified_gmt":"2012-11-22T18:06:17","slug":"day-6-another-day-in-the-blazing-sun-this-time-in-masunga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/2012\/11\/14\/day-6-another-day-in-the-blazing-sun-this-time-in-masunga\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 6 November 12th \u2013 Another day in the blazing sun \u2013 this time in Masunga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">The day started very early drive to Masunga, with some weary eyes, having spent the night with some weird and wonderful creepy crawlies.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">Onto the combi at 6.30 for our 2 hour drive to Masunga, in temperatures close to 40 degrees C. After passing through many one horse dorps (village consisting of a man and his donkey), we arrived at impressive Masunga sports complex, where we were greeted by 32 teachers and Mr Kohli, the sports centre manager, starting day 1 of a 4 day coach education programme at the centre.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">It was onto the astroturf football pitch; the first time we&rsquo;d see anything resembling grass instead of the usual dustbowls for some coaching led by Dave Gellers and his team of merry men. After lunch provided by the centre, consisting of rice and beans again! It was off to the Masunga primary school and back to the dustbowl under the blazing sun. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_11016.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-161\" height=\"290\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_11016-290x290.jpg\" width=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_11016-290x290.jpg 290w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/IMG_11016-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 290px) 100vw, 290px\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">We were greeted by 300 children from the school. We did drills and played continuous cricket with boys and girls of all ages, assisted by the newly trained coaches.
