{"id":137,"date":"2012-11-14T08:02:24","date_gmt":"2012-11-14T08:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/?p=137"},"modified":"2012-11-22T18:00:06","modified_gmt":"2012-11-22T18:00:06","slug":"day-5-visit-to-francistown-school-for-the-deaf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/2012\/11\/14\/day-5-visit-to-francistown-school-for-the-deaf\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 5 November 11th \u2013 Visit to Francistown School for the Deaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">After a long 5 hour drive from Gabarone north to Francistown, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn into the tropics, avoiding a series of goats, donkeys, cows wandering across the road and a few accidents, we arrived at the Francistown school and orphanage for deaf children, where we were met by Clement Chipanga, the North East Botswana BCA coach.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 16px\">Games of KWIK cricket were played with about 60 children of various ages.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/170.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-215\" height=\"290\" src=\"http:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/170-290x290.jpg\" style=\"width: 350px;height: 354px\" width=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/170-290x290.jpg 290w, https:\/\/cwbblogs.com\/botswana12\/files\/2012\/11\/170-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 290px) 100vw, 290px\" \/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman, times, serif\">It was great to see the children smiling and having fun playing cricket. At the end, presentations of wrist bands and t-shirts were made to the children and staff..
