SZCA were privileged to receive coaching from a CWB team as they arrived in Kenya on a two week project trip. 8 volunteers from around the world spent two hours with the players helping them to improve cricket skills and for the more advanced players teaching them about how to use those skills in a game situation. The session was rounded up with messaging on HIV prevention delivered by the volunteers. Cricket without Boundaries is a UK charity that promotes health development using cricket. Coach Nick is a CWB Ambassador and works hard across the country to promote the links between cricket and learning about HIV prevention.

CWB Team Leader, Tanya Boardman said “It was an honour to see first-hand how the South Zone initiative brings enjoyment to participants and the high level of cricket skills already apparent. It made for a great start to our trip and we look forward to returning in the near future to see more progress.” The team also brought cricket kit donated through Lords Taverners.
