Day 13

Day 13 by Nicholas ( Kenyan CWB Ambassador )

After a very long “Karaoke night” could imagine the day could have started any earlier. Very interesting with white people though, no matter how much tusker they pump in, it’s never actually enough to break them down like it does to black people. Carl performing on one mic seems to have grasped the attention of all the bartenders…it’s not just about the AB & C but the other talents as well. [Good voice Carl] and good dancing moves from Colette and Gellers.
Going to bed past mid-night and waking up at half-past five ready to tackle the final if not the last day of intense school coaching- 3 schools- Kenyatta primary’Menengai but to mention the last superior girls in Nakuru East more girls.
OOPS! Almost forgot today some of the team members opted to conduct the session to give the mighty Carl and Gellers a break…surely It didn’t disappoint. Well done to Verdy and John for spearing head the sessions. Of all the schools we have been to all the kids consider Oliver to be a Saviour like ‘Jesus’…well he definitely look like one but many thanks though the kid hovered all around him. After all the hustle and bustle the Colette and Oliver hair seem to grasp the attention of all the kids but cricket in Nakuru is just a boom you can feel the enthusiasm before any coaching begins
The support from all Nakuru coaches has been very impressive that’s why cricket in Nakuru has much better progression than other parts of the country- PJ, Peter, Joseph and Mary. Many thanks guys. East more girls just did an incredible investment prior to CWB subsequent visits…having to build a 4- practice nets for the girls to use. Providing us with lunch as well and the big man Verdy deems to be on a diet as he consider himself an athlete. After the final session at girl’s schools, Mary and Colette got involved in a dance off with the girls at the school. This sums up to have a great end of the day.
